The last we heard you had left Calyon early last year; how did the Nymex job come about?
I'd been at Calyon for 20 years so I thought I'd take the opportunity for some time off, which tied me over until the end of October. I was invited to an LME [London Metal Exchange] dinner in November and by Nymex to go to a power trading forum dinner, and at that stage I was beginning to miss the people and the business. It was around then that I was approached by Nymex for the role as CEO in Europe.
What sort of support have you seen from Nymex itself for the European venture?
