Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) announced that February average daily volume (ADV) increased 9% to 3.53m contracts compared with 3.23m contracts in February 2005.
In addition, exchange volume for February climbed to its highest monthly total ever, reaching a record 67.04m contracts. Also hitting an all-time high in February was volume on CBoT's electronic trading platform with 44.34m contracts traded. CBoT electronic ADV reached 2.33m contracts, increasing 17% from February 2005 and representing 66% of total exchange volume

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) recorded a total monthly volume of more than 90m contracts, whilst average daily volume on its Globex electronic trading platform increased 30% from the same period a year ago, to 3.2m contracts.
