Wild at heart
Not exactly part of my usual beat, but I thought you might be interested to hear the word from one of my spies who attended the annual Isda shindig in Singapore last week. While the event was, you'll be pleased to know, rather more refined and less raucous than our little futures industry do in Boca (more on which next week as I think it justifies a column to itself), there was still some amusement to be had round the fringes of the event. It kicked off with a cocktail party on the first night which the organisers had elected to host poolside in the notoriously hot and humid city state, causing a proliferation of sweaty lawyers, not seen since Anna Nicole Smith held a hundred yard dash to decide who got to represent her in the divorce courts.
