LSE CFD market plans put on hold due to "corporate activity"

According to a spokesperson for London Stock Exchange (LSE)'s clearinghouse LCH Clearnet (LCH-C), the exchange's plans to launch a CFD exchange have been put
on hold due to "corporate activity".
As reported in FO Week in July (see FO Week Vol 10 No 20) LSE had been rumoured to be putting together plans to launch a CFD marketplace in early 2006 but last week refused to confirm or deny that the project had been taken off the table.
