Taifex opens door to foreign firms


Taiwan Futures Exchange (Taifex) said last week that it was to open further its markets to foreign firms with the launch of three US dollar denominated contracts as well as rule changes that would allow for speculative trading and omnibus accounts.

The exchange planned to launch US dollar denominated 100 ounce gold futures, as well as MSCI Taiwan Index futures and options contracts on 27 March.
