Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) saw a record 2,827 full sized silver futures trade on 21 March, surpassing the previous record of 2,467 set on 8 March
. The day was the fourth highest combined volume day for CBoT's full sized precious metals complex, with 21,813 gold and
silver futures and 45 gold options contracts changing hands.

Euronext Liffe announced on 17 March that a new daily record volume in its Amsterdam equity derivatives products had been reached with over 1.1m futures and options contracts traded by the close of the market. The previous record was achieved on the December 2005
expiry day when 874,000 contracts traded. 

Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) reported a record trading volume on 16 March of more than 5.7m contracts. The previous record, of 5.3m, was set on 20 January.
