Last week I promised that I would bring you my roundup of all the goings-on at the annual FIA hooley down in Boca Raton, and as you know I am a man of my word - so here it is. Although my memories of the event are somewhat hazy and not entirely relevant - the last I really recall is a frenetic drive down the Florida panhandle with some new friends followed by an abortive attempt to hire or, sadly, hijack a boat to Cuba - I did have spies at the conference and can therefore bring you the following update.

Confession BoothProbably the biggest celebrity name at the event was Cherie Booth, wife of UK prime minister Tony Blair, and her keynote address attracted a large audience despite its early start and the very late previous night many had after enjoying the Calyon cigars and Icap nightcaps by the pool.
