Energy, technology key to MX growth

Montreal Exchange (MX) last week revealed that it has been looking at ways to diversify its business model, including the marketing of its in-house developed Sola matching engine to other exchanges and the introduction of OTC cleared energy products.
Speaking at a press briefing last week, MX president and CEO Luc Bertrand told FO Week that the exchange has been planning to market the newly developed Sola system to other exchanges.
