The public prosecutor in Vienna has issued arrest warrants for Phil Bennett, former head of bankrupt commodities brokerage Refco, and the son of a former president of Bawag bank that lent Bennett hundreds of millions of dollars. The move came the day after the prosecutor announced it was investigating Bennett and Wolfgang Floettl on fraud and other charges relating to the collapse of Refco, where Bennett is alleged to have hidden $430m of debts.
