The chartist movementThose of you who, like me, were looking forward to a nice quiet summer of evening drinks by the river and not very much work at all may have to think again, as this June we are all going to have to combine the already hectic London derivatives week (this year in a new and improved venue) with the demands of keeping up with the football World Cup. As I have mentioned before, I am a keen fan or the round ball game (and indeed any game which lends itself to competitive wagering) so I have been wondering how I might be able to contribute in my own small way to the general festivities surrounding the tournament. Then, while in one of my preferred creative areas (in this case the gents' lavatory at the Crown and Cushion) it occurred to me: what better way to help the derivatives...
