Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) executives were last week set to recommend side-by-side screen and pit trading of the exchange's full-sized grain contracts, FO Week has learned.
Sources said that CBoT's executive committee met last week and has decided to recommend to the board of directors that the exchange list full-sized agriculture futures contracts side-by-side rather than half-sized contracts, which had been the initial plan of top executives.
A CBoT spokesperson said that no formal decision on electronically traded ag products has been made.
