ICE Futures achieved a daily volume record in its WTI crude futures contract on 11 April of 100,787 contracts, surpassing by 14.9% the record set on 5 April of 87,730 contracts.
Eurex reported that 19 April was a record volume day, with a total of 10.88m traded contracts on the exchange. The previous record was 10.47m, set on 7 March. The average daily trading volume on Eurex this year has been 5.8m contracts.
Eurex has seen single stock futures (SSF) trading volume climb sharply in recent weeks. In March, over 1.1m contracts were traded on the exchange, the highest volume since its first SSFs were launched in October 2005.
