New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) set a new daily exchange-wide volume record on 19 April when 1.42m contracts traded, exceeding the 1.38m contracts traded on 30 August, 2005.
Nymex and Comex division options hit 346,414, beating the previous record of 301,388 contracts traded on 20 January on the same day.

New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) achieved a record volume for its crude oil calendar spread options contract on 24 April with 35,600 contracts. The volume figure surpassed the previous record of 25,925 contracts traded on 22 February.

Nymex also announced a record daily volume in its E-Miny heating oil futures contracts of 1,983 contracts on 25 April, exceeding the 1,553 contracts traded on 20 January. The exchange also set a total volume in its E-Minys of 79,843 contracts traded, exceeding the 78,496 contracts traded on 1 February.
