Steve Auerbach has left SunGard Futures, where he was president of GMI/Octagon based in Chicago. The business unit will be run by Gerry Murphy, to whom Auerbach reported, until a replacement is found. Auerbach had been with the firm for some 17 years, initially with GMI before its
acquisition by SunGard.
Online FX trading platform FXall has appointed Andrew Banhidi as chief technology officer. He will be based in New York with responsibility for overall technology strategy, system architecture and development, engineering, production services and quality assurance. Prior to joining the firm, Banhidi was EVP and CTO of equities execution firm Instinat, where he headed the development and deployment of the firm's trading and trade processing systems.
