PHLX moving into FX space


Philadephia Stock Exchange (PHLX) filed plans with regulators last week to launch currency options aimed at securities traders.

The new cash-settled contracts were to begin trading in the third quarter with dollar/euro and dollar/pound options but the exchange has also developed plans to list 50 other world currencies including Canadian dollar, yen and perhaps the Chinese yuan.
