Euronext "actively assessing" merger partnership offers

Euronext confirmed last week it had entered into "active discussions" over a possible merger, "with the goal of finalising an agreement as soon as practicable".

In a statement released on 18 May, the exchange said that "following recent market speculation? consolidation discussions regarding a transformational combination are progressing rapidly with a number of parties".
