Fernando Centelles has been appointed CEO of Meff, the derivatives business of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME), following a meeting of its board of directors. Centelles joined Meff in 1989 as deputy CEO. Francisco Oña Navarro, previously Meff's deputy chairman, has been appointed chairman and is now responsible for the coordination of two major business areas within BME: fixed income and derivatives. Meanwhile, José Massa, who was chairman of BME and CEO of Meff, takes over as head of the clearing and settlement division of BME as executive chairman of Iberclear. Jesús Benito has been appointed chief executive officer.
