Exchanges call for action
Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) chairman Jack Sandner made a plea last week to Senate Agriculture Committee for urgent legislation to clarify the so-called Treasury Amendment to Commodity Exchange Act. He, along with other exchange leaders, called for amendments to the act including more oversight to be performed by SROs and less by Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
