Man Financial has hired Amy Butte as chief financial officer of its global operations, with effect from 1 September. Butte will be based in New York and will report directly to Man Financial's chairman and CEO, Kevin Davis. Prior to joining Man, Butte was previously chief financial officer of New York Stock Exchange and before that served as an equity research analyst at Bear Stearns, where her speciality was the financial services industry. In addition, the firm has promoted Ira Polk to vice chairman of Man Financial and chief administrative officer. His previous role was executive vice president.
