HICP slow to take off

A panel at an inflation conference, held on 28 June, largely agreed that inflation-linked futures contracts could negate the fixing risk inherent in trading in the inflation market despite limited trading activity so far.
Chicago Mercantile Exchange introduced harmonised consumer prices index (HICP) futures contracts in September last year (see FO Week Vol 10 No 31), but has since failed...
