Nymex files IPO documents

New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) has confirmed that it will conduct a public listing by filing a registration statement with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Although the exchange had previously said that an IPO was in its sights, recent activity had led some to believe that it might be sold outright to another entity.
