Taiwan Futures Exchange's monthly trading volume in its MSCI Taiwan Index options hit an all-time high last month with 100,831 contracts traded, surpassing the previous record set in March.
Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) has commissioned FIX gateway to allow exchange members to connect their proprietary trading applications on a real-time basis with DGCX's central trading system. It has also introduced a SPAN-based margining system for risk management purposes, making it the first exchange in the Middle East to do so.
Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has leased a new property in Chicago to expand its presence in the city. The exchange planned to start taking occupancy next year, re-locating 60% of its workforce by 2010. In the meantime, CME has decided to continue to operate out of its original premises and it said the floor trading facilities would not be affected.
