An attorney representing Rosenthal Collins Group (RCG) has accused Trading Technologies (TT) of hiding important prior art evidence from the US Patent and Trademark Office to get its patents approved.
In court transcripts obtained by FO Week, Geoffery Baker, one attorney representing RCG and the most aggressive in terms of presenting a prior art argument during his presentation, said that a working version of the WIT Capital System was around in October 1998. He alleged that it was conceived well before the MD Trader drawing by TT CEO Harris Brumfield. A rough drawing of the MD Trader concept by Brumfield presented to the court was dated September 1998.
