Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) sold a seat on 15 August for $1.4m. This beat the previous high of $1.34m, set on 25 April.
London Metal Exchange (LME) was to amend the Ring and Kerb times for the afternoon open outcry trading session. As of Monday 20 November, the lunchtime kerb would be reduced to 1.5 hours, starting at 1.15pm (GMT) and ending at 2.45pm. Ring three was to commence 15 minutes earlier at 2.55pm, and ring four, 20 minutes earlier at 3.35pm. The exchange said that the decision followed a proposal from LME trading committee and was the outcome of LME's consultation process with members, which was conducted from 13 June to 7 July 2006.
