Following his ratification by US Senate in August (see FO Week Vol 11 No 32), Michael Dunn has been sworn in to serve a second term as commissioner of Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Prior to joining the commission, Dunn served as director, office of policy and analysis at Farm Credit Administration.
Jon Steward has been appointed as deputy to GL Trade's Northern Europe CEO, Patrick Tessier following GL's purchase of Nyfix Overseas where Steward was previously CEO. At GL, he will be in charge of the derivatives business development with a special focus on UK customers. Mike Hughes, Nyfix's SVP Products and Technology, and John Fretwell, SVP Operations at Nyfix, will continue to report to Steward.
