Caught and socialI spent a very enjoyable day last week as part of CBoT's team at the Professional Cricketers' Association's annual shindig at the late John-Paul Getty's sumptuous estate. As you might imagine, my own contribution was not on the playing side but restricted to supporting from the comfort of the bar (it seems a bit stupid to waste valuable drinking time running about after a ball which is, let's be honest, far too hard). The sport on offer was impressive, with the Board of Trade boys not only providing a once in a lifetime chance to hear the phrase, "go on Chicago!" shouted at a cricket match but also falling tragically short of the final on a bowl-out (sort of a cricketing penalty shoot out with more abuse).
