Patrick Conroy has decided to leave Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) as chief operating officer in order to return to the US to "pursue his career development". He intends to leave the exchange by the end of March 2007. HKEX's board has announced that it will create a selection committee "to identify suitable candidates to fill the vacancy in due course".
Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) has promoted Scott Kaufman to the position of vice president, enterprise programmes division. CBoT recently created the department and Kaufman has been given the goal of "integrating the operations and roles of the functional solutions division, programme management division, and enterprise solutions group," according to the exchange. He will continue to report to Bryan Durkin, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
