DME sticks with Nymex for trading technology


Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) has announced plans to use an updated version of New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex)'s Clearport trading system. Nymex itself recently selected Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME)'s Globex system for its own electronic products but DME described the ClearPort technology, as "state-of-the-art" in a statement issued last week.

Sources familiar with the situation believed that the service provided by Nymex constituted part of the original deal struck with DME and would be provided at no extra cost.
