AEMS could lose E-CBoT contract

Atos Euronext Market Solutions (AEMS) could lose its deal to license the Liffe Connect electronic trading platform to Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) in the wake of CBoT's proposed merger with Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).
CME and CBoT told analysts last week that, should the merger complete, all electronic contracts would trade on CME's Globex platform, heralding the potential phasing-out of Liffe Connect as the engine for E-CBoT by the end of the current deal - November 2008 - at the latest.
