CBOE, index firms fight back against ISE


Days after International Securities Exchange (ISE) went to court in a legal maneuver to offer S&P and Dow Jones index options, those companies along with Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) filed a suit against ISE.

The lawsuit, filed by CBOE, Dow Jones and S&P parent company McGraw Hill on 15 November, sought a court ruling that would prohibit ISE from listing SPX options or DJX options, because of CBOE's exclusive license rights to those contracts.
