Years of our livesOne of the things I've always enjoyed about working for FO Week is the way that the powers that be here at FOW towers determined many years ago that, in our little world, the year should consist of the unconventional total of 50 weeks. While everyone else in the business slumps at their desks, sleeping off hangovers or - worse - finishing up the year's work, we have already headed off to St Tropez, Mustique or, more realistically, our mothers' houses to enjoy the seasons' felicitations. If you think that's unfair, then please try to understand that we're doing you a favour: while the latest news from the futures world may be welcome reading most weeks of the year, do you really want an exchange-traded digest popping down the chimney on Christmas day? I thought not. Anyway, just before I pack up my 2006 Nature's Wonders calendar...
