When ICE bought Nybot last year there was only ever going to be one outcome which people were generally agreed on, that it had spent $1bn on the exchange at least partly to make use of Nybot's clearinghouse. And it always seemed LCH Clearnet would run the risk of being left somewhat out in the cold after that deal went through....
