The debate about the value of futures trading in India is at crisis point, with a government minister saying that agricultural products may be outlawed out of concern about spiralling prices.
Indian agriculture minister Sharad Pawar believes the days of ag futures may be "numbered", adding that the number of legislative figures supporting a ban continues to grow on a daily basis, according to local press reports.
