The deal tying Fimat and Calyon together could be completed by as early as October as they look to sign official documents by the summer, according to Nicolas Breteau, CEO of Fimat UK and Europe.
The two firms jointly announced in January that they were in talks (see FO Week Vol 12 No 2), but Breteau said on 8 March that the companies were still going through due diligence, which he anticipated would "last a few more months" and that by the summer the firms would "pretty much be able to sign something".
