After Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)'s CEO Jeff Sprecher announced on 15 March that his exchange would concentrate its efforts on developing its internal clearinghouse acquired in its purchase of New York Board of Trade (Nybot), observers have speculated that a second clearer, The Clearing Corporation (TCC), could be brought in as well.
Sources said this was most likely to happen if the Atlanta exchange proved successful in its bid to join forces with Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) but ICE has not ruled out any possibilities.
