CME, Reuters launch FX MarketSpace


Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and Reuters eventually launched FX MarketSpace on 26 March, marking the exchange's first foray into the cash FX market.

The market, offered on Globex and Reuters Dealing 3000 terminals, makes the CME's central clearing facility available for OTC FX trades.

Exchange officials declined to provide any volume figures over its first few days but said that the market had started solidly in terms of attracting and connecting relevant participants.
