Singapore Commodity Exchange (Sicom) has appointed Jeffrey Tan as president with effect from 2 April 2007. Together with board, the expanded management team will develop Sicom's futures business so as to better serve its members and the commodity futures trading community. Tan was most recently vice president at Singapore Exchange (SGX), responsible for the implementation of SGX AsiaClear, the exchange's over-the-counter clearing facility for oil swaps and forward freight agreements. Prior to this, he was responsible for exchange alliances and international affairs for SGX.
