New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) will list American style options on natural gas, RBOB gasoline, and heating oil on Nymex ClearPort for a trade date of 7 May.
Nymex will also launch three new gasoline futures contracts that will begin trading on both the floor and CME Globex electronic trading platform for trade date of 14 May. The new contracts and their commodity codes will be: Gulf Coast gasoline gulf coast ultra low sulphur diesel (LU), and New York harbour ultra low sulphur diesel futures.
The New York exchange set a daily volume record for the RBOB gasoline futures contract on the CME Globex electronic trading platform on 19 April. RBOB futures reached 101,724 contracts, exceeding the 92,139 contracts traded on 17 April.
