Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) posted a record daily volume in its gas oil futures contract on 9 May. The exchange's gas oil futures contract traded 155,757 contracts, surpassing the previous record established on 13 September of 148,940 contracts.

ICE also established a new daily volume record in the benchmark ICE Brent crude oil futures on 16 May with 387,422 contracts traded, exceeding the previous record set on 29 March of 384,281.

New York Board of Trade (Nybot) established an electronic trading record in soft commodity futures with 164,064 contracts traded, exceeding the previous daily high set 16 April of 156,600 contracts. Additionally, trading in Nybot Sugar No11 set a new daily record of 140,750 electronically traded futures contracts surpassing the previous record of 104,935 contracts traded on 10 April.
