CFTC' Jeffery leaving soon, commissioners on the way


Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is nearing the departure of chairman Reuben Jeffery and the addition of two new commissioners.

Jeffery was nominated by the White House to become under-secretary of state for economic, energy and agricultural affairs in mid-April, after serving just shy of two years as the head of CFTC. Jeffery must be confirmed for the new position but sources said he is already working part time for the State Department while still holding down his position at CFTC.
