Nothing for a pairAnother year has flown past in a flurry of mergers, acquisitions, launches, squabbles and, if you are like me - which I accept that you are unlikely to be - continual dodging of creditors. Naturally there is some competition amongst events for the right to call oneself the premier futures and options gathering in the annual calendar, and without question Boca Raton, Chicago, Burgenstöck and the Dog and Duck round the corner on bonus day all have fair claims. But since I read this week that London has now overtaken New York as the world's financial capital (not to mention its most expensive place to drink, outside, possibly, of Riyadh) I think the crown has to be awarded to this week's get-together, in part organised by the hard working bods at FOW.
