NYSE, Nymex tie up closer

The potential sale of New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) to NYSE Euronext remained a hot choice of debate as the derivatives world descended on London for International Derivatives Week with a tie-up between the two looking increasingly more likely, according to sources.While there have been official denials of a potential tie-up by exchange officials, sources familiar with the two markets said negotiations have been proceeding for several months.
