Chicago Board of Trade set a new open interest record in its daily 10-year US Treasury notes of 6.06m on 6 July. The previous record stood at 6.05m set 21 June.

Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX)’s equity option volume during June reached a record high of 32.73m. This represented a 64.79% increase compared to the same period a year ago when 19.86m contracts traded. Equity option volume in June increased 9.28% to $32.24m compared to the previous month when 29.95m contracts changed hands. Average daily equity options volume in June also reached an all-time high of 1.56m contracts. Total volume of futures and options traded on New York Board of Trade (Nybot) during June rose 33.4% to a record 6.06m contracts, compared to 4.54m contracts traded a year earlier. Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX)’s total trading volume for the first half of 2007 surpassed the total volume recorded in 2006....
