Eurex targets DMA with system release


Eurex’s latest version of its platform, version ten,  will incorporate risk management functionality designed to mitigate potential market problems arising from algorithmic trading, the exchange revealed to FO Week.

The release, due at the end of November, will provide Eurex general clearing members the ability to manage client risk at the FCM stage, including the ability to stop trades and if necessary remove clients from the market entirely.

The enhancements are timely as the FCM and proprietary trading communities have been vocal over concerns that a combination of direct market access, co-location of servers and algorithmic trading...
