3-D aims at institutional options


A new institutional equity options platform from 3-D Markets is provoking a discussion on how the industry can better address the needs of institutional traders.

Dave Mortimer, chairman and CEO of 3-D Markets, told FO Week that his new off-exchange options trading platform, Archangel, is designed to bring in institutional securities traders, hedge funds and market markers together in a liquid, but anonymous way. In doing so, he aims to address what is considered by some as a problem for big firms, which is the information leakage that often leads to damage to their stock or options positions.
