Brady, a supplier of software solutions for commodity trading has appointed Gavin Lavelle as its new chief executive officer with effect from 3 September. Brady’s founder and current chief executive officer, Robert Brady will assume the role of chief technology officer. In this role, Brady will be responsible for the company’s technology architecture and direction and will continue to serve as a strategic and visionary spokesperson for the company. Lavelle has a career of over 25 years in

the international financial software and banking industry. In 2000 he joined SunGard after the acquisition of RioFin as CEO of Panorama and more recently CEO of SunGard Sherwood Systems.  Before founding RioFin, he was worldwide head of equities and equity derivatives risk management at Deutsche Bank. He also worked at Banque Paribas for eight years, where he was head of equity derivatives trading.
