Brady, a supplier of software solutions for commodity
trading has appointed Gavin Lavelle as its new chief executive officer with
effect from 3 September. Bradys founder and current chief executive officer,
Robert Brady will assume the role of chief technology officer. In this role,
Brady will be responsible for the companys technology architecture and
direction and will continue to serve as a strategic and visionary spokesperson
for the company. Lavelle has a career of over 25 years in
the international financial software and banking industry. In 2000 he
joined SunGard after the acquisition of RioFin as CEO of Panorama and more
recently CEO of SunGard Sherwood Systems.
Before founding RioFin, he was worldwide head of equities and equity
derivatives risk management at Deutsche Bank. He also worked at Banque Paribas
for eight years, where he was head of equity derivatives trading.
