More futures firms in play
At least two and possibly three more US-based futures brokerage firms are up for sale or could face closure, according to well placed sources in Chicago. Following a series of decisions by other firms to sell off, pull the plug or wind down their brokering businesses in the past year, this latest news appears to underscore an accelerating trend towards consolidation in the industry.
