Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGX) has named new public directors, officers and committees to serve for the one year terms.
The MGX board elected four public directors, including Curt Denisuik, who was re-elected. New to the board t are Robert Gordon, James Ginsburg, and William Power.
Also elected were officers and members for the executive committee. Scott Cordes, who was re-elected chairperson; Michael Ricks, who serves as first vice chairperson; and Carter Ohrt; who will act as second vice chairperson; Daniel Brophy and William Power complete the committee.
The Board also elected its finance committee, which included Randy Marten, who was elected chairperson. Other members include Richard Cole; James Ginsburg; Scott Hedin; Gregory Konsor; Christopher Matzdorf; and Gary Weber.
"Some market participants are worried that these proposals will constrain liquidity and make it harder for firms to hedge themselves effectively with OTC derivatives."
