Eurex has been named the leading European exchange in terms of volumes of index futures for the first three quarters of the year. The exchange saw 305.4m index volumes pass through it ahead of second placed exchange, Euronext liffe which saw 69.2m.

Eurex also topped the tables for the largest individual index with the DJ E Stoxx 50 contract which saw 248.2m. the exchange also held second spot with its DAX product trading 40m for the first three quarters of the year so far.
