European Energy Exchange (EEX) will to co-operate with other European exchanges after the supervisory board gave permission.
The first stage of the co-operation proposal could see EEX collaborate with the French energy exchange, Powernext.
Commenting on the proposed link, the EEX board welcomed the proposed deal with Powernext, but the board declared that a final decision on the deal will be made at the next supervisory board meeting in December.
